CLASS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Craft Classes

As of July 1st, all of our craft classes will be available On Demand.

Carolynne, our Creative Director and teacher, will be doing live demos of various crafts at the store during regular store hours. You can see samples of some of the classes she’s taught throughout the aisles on the “Crafty” side of the store and in the photo gallery below (more pics to come).

She teaches classes in knitting, crochet, sewing, beading, wire wrapping, pearl knotting, macrame, off-loom beadweaving, sewing/knitting/crocheting with beads, mixed media collage, card making, art journaling, ornament making, watercolor cardmaking, cake decorating, cookie decorating, soft-sculpture doll making, wreath and memorial wreath making.

Signing Up

Once you schedule a class with Carolynne, you can sign up for that class by phone at the store at (805)646-3835. Please register for your class at least 48 hours in advance. See the note about this on the Information Section below.

Pop-Up Classes and Events

As always, you will be notified of pop-up classes and events through our newsletters when you sign up to receive informative emails about our classes. You can put your name on the list at the store 7 days a week.

Beginner, Private, and Unscheduled Classes

Important Class Information

All classes are for individuals age 12 and up unless otherwise noted.

Classes with younger children, (and the adult of their choosing), can be scheduled upon request. If you speak with Carolynne and arrange for a younger student to take a class, the student must be accompanied by an adult. (If the adult isn't interested in taking the class, they are welcome to bring a book, walk around and shop, do crossword puzzles, etc.).
The cost of each 3-hour class is $30 for 2 or more students. All classes can be taught privately for $40. Get in touch with Carolynne to schedule a private class: benfranklinclasses@gmail.com.
***NOTE: Please sign up for all classes at least 48 hours in advance to guarantee you a spot. If you have to cancel a class more than 48 hours before the class is scheduled, you will get a refund or a credit toward rescheduling your class. If the 48 hour deadline is approaching and you have to cancel the class, please call the store and leave a message for Carolynne at (805)646-3835.

In Ben Franklin classes you will find skills, techniques, fellowship, a safe place to learn, and a lot of laughter.
